I'm a Natural Hoof Care Practitioner, Advocate, and I'm ecstatic when it comes to caring for horses and helping people form stronger bonds with their horses. I was consumed with a passion for horses in my early teens. I've studied Natural Horsemanship and find it to be the most rewarding and successful way to train horses. After purchasing my first horse which was barefoot, I became fascinated with Natural Hoof Care. After seeing horses with flared hooves and nails protruding through their hoof walls, I gained a desire to help horses through Natural Hoof Care. So, I began studying Pete Ramey's methods, reading his book entitled "Making Natural Hoof Care work for you", I would recommend to anyone thinking about going barefoot. He also has a
16 hour DVD series I've studied numerous times "Under the Horse" which has met the requirements for 20 hours of continuing education credits for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. The Series is an intensive study of Natural Hoof Care, internal structures of the hoof, the wild horses hoof, and thorough training into his trimming methods. I also recommend Jaime Jackson's book "Founder: Prevention and Cure the Natural Way" a book for every horse owner to read. I've been through intensive training with Todd Jaynes of North Georgia. Todd is one of the leading hoof care practitioners with a long list of credentials. He is a excellent teacher and he really cares about horses. Todd is known around the world for his knowledge and trimming. Even Clinton Anderson speaks on Natural Hoof Care and the methods of Pete Ramey and Todd Jaynes.
