Serving Alabama and the Southeast with Natural Hoof Care. Natural hoof care is a barefoot trimming method that mimics natural wear patterns found in free-roaming equines. It's not just a trimming method, it encompasses the whole horse. Proper diet, exercise and movement are just as important as the trim. The method I use is based on extensive scientific and field studies of the mustang horses & other feral horse herds all over the world by various equine health and hoof care professionals. This method is non-invasive, promotes healing, facilitates optimal hoof mechanism and supports natural gaits. Replicating the wild horses hoof form and natural wear patterns allows the horse to grow a strong, hard hoof that never needs metal shoes. It's my job to read the hoof, so I will know what it needs and I can get the horse back to the way nature designed without harm. When the hoof is in it's natural state and natural horse keeping is provided, the hooves are not stricken by the devastating pathogens or debilitating diseases that many domesticated horses face.

“Of the 122 million equines found around the world, no more than 10% are clinically sound. Some 10% (12.2 million) are clinically, completely and unusably lame. The remaining 80 % (97.6 million) are somewhat lame...and could not pass a soundness evaluation test.”

This tells me something isn't working.
